v3

running now2026-09-15

Outreach runs itself: every contact on a deal is looked up, an email and two LinkedIn messages are written per person, and lemlist sends them.

Outreach (new)

  • Claude writes a first-touch email for each person from the deal's own news article, and the lead is pushed into a lemlist campaign automatically after it reaches Inquiry — up to 10 people a night.
  • Each lead carries its own text: aiSubject, dealHook (one personal line for a fixed template), aiLinkedinMsg and aiInviteNote, so one campaign template serves everybody without sounding generic.
  • Subject lines are short questions about the recipient's own business, and the email is an introduction rather than a pitch — no offer, no NDA, no meeting request.
  • Emails are written from the full source article, not the one-line summary, so the opening line is a detail only a reader of the story would know.
  • Nothing sends without a check: a draft still holding a [placeholder] is held back, a junk-looking address is skipped, and a contact whose employer is not part of the deal is never queued (Apollo matches common names to the wrong person).
  • Preview page shows the exact drafts and the exact payload lemlist receives, sends nothing, and needs no password.
  • OUTREACH_PAUSED=1 stops queueing without touching the rest of the pipeline.

Contacts

  • Both sides of a deal are searched — buyer and seller — and each side with an email becomes its own row in Inquiry, labelled Buyer or Seller in Comment 2.
  • Every contact on a deal is now revealed, not just until the first email lands: a reveal returns the LinkedIn profile too, and the profile is worth having on its own.
  • A reveal that finds nothing is recorded, so a person Apollo has no address for reads as "No Apollo email" instead of offering a button that can only fail.
  • "Find Contacts" no longer discards emails that were already unlocked.

Screens

  • Outreach: who has an email, who was queued, who replied, who is waiting — with lemlist's own activity per person (sent, opened, replied, invite accepted, messaged, bounced) and a button to queue one person at a time.
  • Daily status: a table of the last 14 days — deals found, searched, with email, written to Inquiry, queued — plus the last run's result and the Apollo credit balance.
  • Controls: every job on one page with a plain description, so nothing needs a hand-built URL.
  • Deal cards show the found email, whether the deal reached Inquiry, whether outreach was sent, and the date the scan found it (matching the digest email).
  • The whole interface is in English.

Reliability

  • Enrichment is its own nightly job, half an hour after the scan: a slow scan can no longer eat the time the day's leads need.
  • The nightly job works only on the last few days and newest first, so importing the old backlog can never crowd out today's deals.
  • When deals are still pending, the run hands off to another run of itself — roughly fifty deals a day instead of the six that fit in one request.
  • Long jobs no longer overwrite each other's saves, which was quietly losing sheetedAt marks and could have lost revealed emails.
  • Each run records what it did, readable on the status page, because this Vercel plan keeps no logs for scheduled runs.

v2

2026-09-08

Apollo finds the email, and deals with an email reach the VF Inquiry sheet by themselves.

Released

  • Apollo looks up a contact and unlocks the email for each new deal.
  • Deals with an email are written into the VF Inquiry sheet, ALL LEADS tab, in the sheet's own column format.
  • A deal with no email is never written to Inquiry.
  • The 08:00 scan runs the whole flow and emails the daily digest.
  • /api/enrich-backfill imports older deals in batches.

Each release is also tagged on GitHub with the same notes.
